Year Two: Grateful Hearts

We are a few days away from Memorial Day Weekend and at this very time last year, we were preparing to expand our hours for the first time.  Flash forward twelve months and we're approaching our second summer season here at the bar(n).  My heart is filled with gratitude: for the people I've met and gotten a chance to work with along the way, to our patrons, to the opportunities that have arose over the last twelve months, to the learning experiences, the shifts filled with teamwork and laughter, and this very special place, the Bar(n).

To kick off our summer patio season, here's a quick recap of the winter season and what we've got in store for you at the Bar(n) in 2018.

Brewing Beer - That's Right!  We are finally brewing beer.  Starting in December 2017, we started dedicating one of our tap lines to the Bar(n) Brew.  This ever rotating selection changes frequently and every once and a while we still do run out.  It's still small batch brewing at it's finest as me, your dedicated brewmaster, only has so many hours in a day and has not yet expanded into a larger system.  Instead, I'm focused on training my staff to help me in the process so you'll often see myself or one of the crew kegging, transferring, or brewing.  We aren't selling growlers yet, so you'll have to stop out to the bar(n) to try a pint of the good stuff.  But it is finally here.  Brewed with love by me, your Ale Works owner and brewmaster.

Event Space & Yoga Studio - This winter we were back in construction mode here at the bar(n) wrapping up the changes to our upstairs space.  We now have a completed second floor event space and a third floor yoga studio.  Interested in a private party?  Or a small wedding?  We might just be the right venue for you.  In a classic bar(n) style, we've now got space to hold small and large gatherings alike.  If you're interested in hosting an event at the bar(n) or learning more about the space and rental fees, email ameryaleworks@gmail.com.  

Calendar of Events - That's right!  We've got a large calendar of events this summer from trivia nights to band nights to different vendor events.  We are dedicated to bringing a selection of fun events to the bar(n).  Check out the event link on our website for our offerings that get updated frequently.  We hope you find something that speaks to you!

Teamwork, Teamwork, Teamwork - None of this could be done without the Bar(n) Crew.  This includes everyone from the folks on payroll to those who volunteer their time to help us along.  We've spent the winter cross training here at the Bar(n), so you'll see the crew doing variety of tasks this summer.  What you'll see the most of though is one hardworking dedicated team of folks that I couldn't be more proud of.  They have made my life brighter and they make this place what it is - welcoming and fun.  I know we are all excited for patio time and cannot wait to serve you and offer you a spot to relax in a chair by the bonfire and enjoy this special place.

With that recap, I simply want to say that year two is starting with a very very grateful heart.  Grateful for this experience and the many incredible folks I've met along the way.  I cannot wait to kick off another patio season and continue with my mission to share this beautiful place.  Thank you to those who have been apart of this journey from day one and to those who are just joining us for the first time now.
